Over 56 pages (twice as long as Vol. 1), Season Two frequently contradicts itself as Russell dives into the Saber-Vamp's personal life -- his awkward teenage years, his stints as King Arthur and a caveman, his solo dance parties, and his awkward trip around the world after someone mistakes him for a garden gnome. Lauren Davis of io9.com called the comic "an amazing bit of silliness.... Yes, it's a one-note joke, but damn if Russell doesn't milk it for all it's worth."
